Founder & Managing Director of Lawganised, Ben Deverson, has had a 30-year executive career of which over half has been managing and leading professional services firms. For four years (2016-2019), Ben was the Managing Director and an equity principal of a boutique law firm in Brisbane, Australia.

Whilst not being a qualified lawyer, Ben is an expert in the best practice operations of law firms. Throughout his career, Ben has gained an intimate knowledge of the challenges that law firm Principals face each day. Ben's strengths include strategic planning, people and culture, forecasting, cash flow management, process automation, performance metrics, leadership, and legal practice risk management.

Ben has a passion for helping law firm Principals build strong, positive cultures and cohesive teams built on vulnerability-based leadership and trust. Ben believes teams with these characteristics allow Principals to optimise their people and generate enormous value in their practices, leading to a positive outlook on their business and their lives.

Ben's unrelenting commitment and motivation to achieve excellence stems from his past unique leadership roles as an Australian Army Officer, Chief Operating Officer, and Practice Manager for two global accounting firms, and a senior commercial role in a major Queensland infrastructure project.

Ben is a proud husband and father of three children, and happily admits he married well outside his weight division(!). He's an avid sports fan, animal lover, Dad joke connoisseur, and a proud 'Swiftie' (a Taylor Swift fan). Ben always enjoys a good laugh and, in particular, enjoys a chat about anything Seinfeld related. Ben is often guilty of excessive overuse of Seinfeld references and quotes, given that he believes there's a Seinfeld moment in every day.

Ben is also a non-executive Director of The Kind Lawyers Network Ltd and RSPCA Queensland Ltd.

Rachel Barbaro (aka 'Rach') is one of Lawganised's Directors and acts as the Virtual General Manager for several client firms across Australia.

Rach comes to Lawganised with 25 years of experience in legal assistant and office management roles, most recently with a boutique employment law firm in Brisbane.

Rach thrives on being organised and has an extensive background in creating procedures, precedents, management reporting, and enhancing productivity through technology. Rach is a self-professed legal practice management system geek and loves to find ways to help clients find efficiencies in their systems.

Like the rest of the team, Rach is also an animal lover and is often seen around her neighbourhood 'being walked' by her dog 'Abby'. She otherwise spends her time being her cat's 'doorperson' and hanging out with her husband and three children.

Erin Steward (aka 'Ez') is one of Lawganised's Directors and acts as the Virtual General Manager for several client firms across Australia.

Erin comes to Lawganised with 20 years of experience in office management and executive management roles in the legal industry, hospitality, and retail sectors. Most recently, Erin was the CEO of a boutique criminal law and civil litigation firm on the Gold Coast, Australia.

Erin is a results-focused trusted advisor to law firm Principals who has an eye for detail and uses her deep analytical and financial expertise to create efficient plans that drive operational success. Erin also has a passion for mentoring our clients' new and developing leaders and building high-performing teams.

Erin is a graduate of the Australian National University and the University of Southern Queensland with a Bachelor in Arts (International Relations) and a Graduate Certificate of Business, respectively.

Erin is a proud wife and mum of two children, and is a huge fan of F1 and cricket. She loves music and going to the beach with her family every Sunday morning for nippers. Erin also has a dog called Cleo, who is a red border collie that loves walking and producing tumble weeds of fur. Erin is often at gymnastics (definitely not as a participant), to watch her daughter and help out around the club.

Kathryn Milczewski (aka 'Kath') is another of Lawganised's Directors and acts as the Virtual General Manager for several client firms across Australia.

Kath joins Lawganised with 30 years of experience predominantly in law firms, both within Australia and the UK, as well as having held roles in the public sector and in-house environments. Most recently, Kath was the Operations Manager of a boutique commercial litigation firm with offices on the Gold Coast and in Brisbane.

Driven by contributing to growth and performance, Kath is naturally drawn to identifying 1% changes that contribute to significant operational improvements for both simple and complex challenges and leverages technology to deliver efficient and effective solutions.

On a personal level, Kath takes a genuine interest in understanding the goals of those she works with, finding coaching and mentoring others to succeed extremely rewarding.

An avid traveller, Kath is excited that planes have returned to the skies and she is currently planning trips in Australia and beyond with her partner, family, and friends. Kath also enjoys checking out the latest food and wine venues around Brisbane and the Gold Coast, a day at the races, or spending time in the kitchen whipping up a storm (probably with the latest Netflix binge on in the background).

Selina brings over 25 years of professional experience across practice management, legal finance, financial reporting, operations and team leadership within both accounting and law firm environments. Having progressed through the industry from Legal Assistant in her early career to National Finance Operations and Billing Manager at a top tier insurance law firm, she has a rare, ground up understanding of how a law firm actually runs, and brings that same top tier experience to every client she works with.

A self confessed planner, organiser and problem solver, Selina is genuinely passionate about process improvement, financial reporting, data integrity and efficient implementation. She has a strong eye for the numbers behind a business and enjoys turning financial data into clear, reliable insights that help firms make smarter decisions. Alongside this, Selina brings genuine leadership and team management experience, having led and mentored teams through change, growth and the day to day realities of running a busy legal operation. She also loves thinking outside the box and gets a real buzz out of delivering practical, results driven solutions to the niche challenges her clients bring to the table.

Selina is a firm believer in knowledge sharing. She enjoys mentoring colleagues and clients alike, and finds it equally rewarding to learn from those around her.

Outside of work, Selina enjoys the simple things. Whether that's making memories with her husband, family and friends, trying out the newest restaurant in town, or spending a day at the beach. A passionate traveller who has previously lived and travelled abroad, you can be sure her next holiday is always in the planning stages.

Erin is Lawganised's newest Client Manager based in Melbourne, bringing over 20 years of experience working with larger law firms across Australia and New Zealand.

Throughout her career, Erin has developed deep expertise in systems implementations, onboarding new offices and teams, and leading rates and client data overhauls and analysis.

She has a knack for cutting through complexity to find quick, easy solutions through small, manageable changes, and she genuinely thrives on the challenge of an untidy dataset. She listens first: she's found that real progress begins the moment people feel heard and understood.

She's passionate about empowering staff with knowledge and support, thinking outside the box, and creating a safe, comfortable environment where everyone feels free to ask anything.

Outside of work, Erin loves spending time with her three (mostly grown) children, getting lost in a good book, taking long, long walks, and travelling whenever she can. She's also a vocal Hawks supporter, fingers crossed for a win!

Claire Hitchen (aka 'CB') is Lawganised's Client Organiser and supports our Directors and Client Managers with the day to day operations of our retained and project-based clients. With a passion for client service and a deep desire to help individuals reach their full potential, Claire is dedicated to supporting Lawganised Client Managers in optimising their client relationships.

Bringing a wealth of experience in operations, retail and client support roles, Claire has mastered the art of juggling diaries, coordinating travel, and managing emails while keeping an all-important sense of humour intact.

What sets Claire apart is her total commitment to efficient operations and grasping the intricacies of our projects and their key deliverables. Claire is in her third year of a Bachelor of Law/Bachelor of Criminology and Criminal Justice at Griffith University and is ultimately pursuing a career in law.

Outside of her professional pursuits, Claire loves spending quality time with her partner and her pets, and her passion for photography.

Lachlan Holliday (aka 'Lachie') is our Automation Specialist who streamlines inefficient business processes and systems through innovative software solutions. Dedicated to his craft in software engineering, he constantly seeks new ways to optimise workflows and enhance efficiency.

With a strong background in business automation, Lachie has successfully implemented solutions across various industries. Having recently returned from working in the Philippines, he has gained excellent analytical and communication skills.

Lachie is studying a Bachelor of Software Engineering (Honours) at The University of Queensland while endeavouring to pursue a career in software development.

Aside from his professional goals, Lachie tinkers with new and exciting software, from app development to AI. He also enjoys fitness, particularly motocross and going to the gym. After recently returning from Japan, Lachlan has grown fond of travel (yes, he has a life outside of a computer, he promises!)

Darcie Kruck (aka 'DK') is Lawganised's Team Organiser and provides administrative and operational assistance to the Directors.

Darcie joins the team from a similar administrative position in a regional law firm in Far North Queensland. In that role, Darcie gained valuable insights into the proceedings of fast paced and time sensitive business and how to keep operations flowing smoothly for the team through ever fluctuating conditions.

Darcie is enthusiastic about the opportunity to be a "fresh set of eyes" in the work place and is passionate about seeking opportunities to introduce new systems that boost productivity and foster positive environments.

When Darcie's not working or studying, you'll likely find her indulging in her love of food! Whether it's trying out new restaurants, perfecting recipes, or sharing culinary experiences with family and friends, she's always eager to explore what's next in the world of food.

Madeline (aka, 'Maddie') Lawless is Lawganised's Team Organiser, supporting the wider team with the day to day coordination that keeps everything ticking. With a warm and approachable nature and a genuine care for the people around her, Maddie is dedicated to making sure the team has what they need to do their best work.

Drawing on a background in customer-facing and fast-paced service roles, Maddie has developed strong communication skills, the ability to stay composed when things get busy, and a reliable instinct for what people need. Naturally organised and calm under pressure, she brings a positive, can-do energy to everything she does.

Maddie is currently studying a double degree in Psychology and Justice, with aspirations in forensic psychology. She is drawn to understanding the why behind human behaviour and where that intersects with the law, which makes the legal world a very fitting place to be. And yes, the fact that her last name is Lawless is not lost on anyone here.

Outside of work and study, Maddie has a passion for cooking and finding great places to eat. She has a soft spot for animals, loves a bush walk with a good view, and at the end of the day, nothing beats time spent with her family and friends.

Stanley is Lawganised's 'sharp' Head of Security & Chief of Staff and also assists Lawganised's clients with their debt recovery needs.

Stanley was voted most ferocious Head of Security in Law at the 1968 Bonnie Doon Show, a title he defended for three years before heading north to Queensland in 1972. There he joined a 'Motorcycle Club' in 1974 and was quickly promoted to Sergeant at Arms and was responsible for an enormous increase in 'collection activities' during his tenure. Stanley eventually hung up the leathers in 2019 to join his new owner at Lawganised.

After hours Stanley loves to maintain a high commitment to fitness and health in chasing tennis balls, sparring with his sister, and eating top shelf Science Diet.
